Surfshark review (2026): our test
Unlimited devices at the lowest price. Families and shared flats: one subscription covers everyone.
- ✓Unlimited simultaneous connections
- ✓Cheapest of the four on a 2-year plan
- ✓Very good with Netflix and Prime Video
- ✓Simple interface, great for beginners
- –Slightly slower than NordVPN at peak times
- –Fewer servers in small countries
Speed and streaming
Very good, slightly behind NordVPN at peak times. Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ work effortlessly; with BBC iPlayer you may need to try more than one server. Unlimited devices: one subscription for the whole household.
Privacy
Netherlands HQ, Deloitte no-logs audit, RAM servers. Surfshark has belonged to the same group as NordVPN (Nord Security) since 2022, but the two services remain technically independent.
Price and refund
Cheapest of the four: about €2.19 a month on two years. 30-day guarantee, honoured without fuss.
Verdict
Best value by a distance. If you are covering the whole family or budget matters, this is the one.
