Speed and streaming
With the NordLynx (WireGuard) protocol, NordVPN consistently ranks among the fastest VPNs in independent tests: speed loss on a nearby server is usually small. It is built to work with BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Netflix and Prime Video, including 4K. Servers in Malta, Cyprus and Luxembourg are plentiful and stable.
Privacy
Panama HQ (outside intelligence alliances), no-logs policy audited by Deloitte, RAM-only servers. Threat Protection blocks ads and trackers. One of the two or three most serious services on this front.
Price and refund
About €3.39 a month on a two-year plan, billed up front. Renewal is noticeably pricier: note the date and renegotiate or switch. 30-day guarantee.
Verdict
If you don’t want to think about it, pick NordVPN. It is the most complete all-rounder, with the widest platform support.
